NEW PUPILS and PUPILS TRANSFERRING TO SECONDARY SCHOOL... make sure you register for school transport for next school year before the last Friday in April. If you already have an account, simply add your child or change the school name for next year. If you do not have an account, visit the Bus Eireann website and register online www.buseireann.ie

Marine Institute Open Day

On Sunday 14 April the Marine Institute's Newport Catchment Facility will welcome visitors from 11am to 4pm. This is an opportunity for visitors to view the facilities in the Burrishoole Valley and learn more about the research taking place at the site. The Marine Institute’s Newport Catchment Facility forms one of the greatest natural laboratories for studying migratory fish in Europe. The facility has been in operation since 1955, and includes laboratories, a freshwater hatchery, fish rearing facilities, fish census trapping stations, a salmonid angling fishery and a monitored freshwater lake and river catchment. A range of cutting edge research is undertaken at the Newport Catchment Fa

Bike Skills training

4th & 5th class started their cycling skills training course this week - with Gerry Butler. They will have 3 more classes after Easter. Thanks to Gerry for bringing this to our school and to Cycle Ireland and An Taisce Green schools for funding the project.

Explorers in the new playground

Our Senior Explorers had a fantastic morning in the new playground last Thursday! They absolutely loved the sensory equipment and the zipline and were able to get safely to the playground via the viaduct and the new pathway They wanted to say a huge thank you to the playground team for making this happen!
