Childrens Wellbeing classes

From Linda Garvin...

Dear parent

Childrens wellbeing classes are starting on Thursday April 19th from 4.30 to 5.30 at In Essence studio in the Westport Industrial Estate

The program runs for 9 weeks with each class lasting for one hour. The classes are targeted at 5 to 9 year olds. This wellbeing program is guided by best practices In early childhood development and each class focuses on a key developmental theme. It offers an imaginative, educational and playful approach to children’s wellbeing. Each theme teaches the children life skills such as:

  • Trusting instinct and safety

  • Managing emotions

  • Self esteem

  • Compassion for others

  • Truthful communication

  • Intuition and imagination

  • Self awareness and connection

Each class encompasses deep breathing, meditation, storytelling, dance and creative art. The stories are fun, magical stories that have been written with a purpose. The dance helps to keep the children in the story while giving them an opportunity to express what might have arisen for them during the story. Parts of the dance are guided and parts are freestyle, so that they can embody the different characters they met in the story. The creative art is an avenue to also express what they have experienced in the story & dance elements of each class. They can bring their art home with them and use their drawings to revisit and remember each story and lesson.

The deep breathing and meditation elements of the classes provide the children with a safe space that they can use at any time.

I am Garda vetted, fully insured and will provide all necessary materials to run the class.

If this is something that interests you, please feel free to contact me for further information or to break a place for your child.

Kind regards
Linda Garvin
