Community Notice re astroturf

Under Covid-19 Level 5 restrictions, Newport Astroturf pitch beside the school will CLOSE from midnight tonight for 6 weeks.

It will still be available for use by the school during school hours.

The lower MUGA will remain open. It is considered in the same category as a park or playground, so will remain open as long as public parks and playgrounds are open.

As some leeway is allowed under Level 5 restrictions for childrens non-contact training, anyone wishing to book for such training (and willing to commit to the strict guidelines) may contact the GAP committee on 087 3341199 to discuss.

NADDCo and the GAP committee will make good use of the closure period to carry out essential maintenance to the grounds and netting etc., and thanks everyone for their support of this great local amenity.
