Newport Lighting Project

Community Notice...

Join the Friends of Mayo Dark Skies in Hotel Newport from 7-7.30pm on Monday evening 16 May for an Open Evening to launch the next phase of their Lighting Project for the Town. With support from The Heritage Council , they are delighted to begin the test phase on lights with expert lighting designer Kerem Asfuroglu.

Community members are invited to ask questions and see the plans at the Open evening. The team will be working late into the night with audits and lighting demonstrations.
