Cumann na mBunscol update

Report from our Girls Team...

"Last Thursday 5th and 6th class girls travelled to Westport to play in the second round of Cumann na mBunscol. We played against Kilmeena. The girls got off to a great start. At half time we had a great lead but that didn't stop us in the second half. Kilmeena managed to score a goal and a few points which closed the gap slightly but we kept going and won the game. Now the girls will play in the West Mayo Final in the upcoming weeks."

Report from our Boys Team...

"Last Thursday the 5th hand 6th class boys played Kilmeena. It was a brilliant first half with Newport ahead by one point. But the inspirational speech from Brian and Mr. Moran was not enough. Kilmeena fought back getting two easy goals which secured the win for Myna. The full time score was Newport 1:9 Kilmeena 3:11"
