Parade Fundraiser
The committee that organises Newport's popular annual St. Patricks Day Parade are holding a fundraising family walk this weekend to raise funds to help cover the cost of the parade. The walk will take place on MONDAY 2 MAY, starting at Newport NS at 1pm, walking along the Greenway to Burrishoole Abbey and back. This will be followed by some refreshments in the school hall. Rehearsals in full swing!
Some of our pupils from 3rd, 4th and 5th classes are busy rehearsing with the Newport 300 committee for the upcoming historical re-enactment 'A Journey Through Time'. There will be a live perfromance on the streets of Newport on Sunday 1st May.


Historical Re-Enactment
Rehearsals are going really well for the upcoming Historical Re-enactment, planned for 1st May to celebrate Newport 300. The committee has been extremely busy sewing extra costumes, and are now inviting anyone from 3rd class (as well as 4th and 5th classes) to be part of the cast.
